The investigation, or special books you can give to Kaidan so that he will read to you."Īnyway, I figured it was probably not there because it was in the Solitude cell that I can't get into without disabling Open Cities. "There is a new book vendor in Solitude that will have stock of many books you can trade, as well as books you might need for ![]() Ceven wrote: No, I don't mean Books of Skyrim, I mean the book vendor mentioned in the Docs tab. It's pretty unfair to compare other followers to her these days what with all the years that went into her development and the talent behind it. I often find myself wishing I could dissect her scripts and use it as a foundation for a new custom follower, but the work on Vilja is light years beyond anything I'm capable of. I know Vilja has a very dynamic marriage system that works very well. It might result in the game thinking Kaidan is back on the vanilla follower system instead of his own parallel system, or messing with quest stages (not sure on those as haven't tried marrying him). Spouses receive a different AI package once they're added to that faction, so making a custom follower marriable can be tricky if you've designed your own framework. This allows us to utilize more quests in our followers. A lot of us that use multiple and perfer that followers not have vanilla marrage setting set. It's basically like recreating the mod all over again thanks to limitations in Creation Kit that keep the process from being easy. Modders who place objects in cities typically don't like Open Cities because it completely restructures the worldspace by sewing duplicates of city interiors onto the main Skyrim open world, and any markers or objects that were placed in the vanilla city have to be duplicated including doors that stitch into new cells. If so, that mod author has specifically stated: He's so awesome, (and a bit OP in the early levels, but that's okay.) And the VA is marvelous. Ninjaedit: Hey, is the book vendor compatible with Open Cities? Because I cannot find him/her anywhere in Solitude. It's under "love interest", and apparently it should be a code, rather than "none" if you're married. Is the console command to see if the game thinks you're married, btw. Or, barring that, does anybody know how to do this thing? I tried to finagle the creation kit to see if I could do it, but it was quite late and I kept getting errors (it was very annoying.) As it is, Kaidan doesn't trigger them, because of the fancy alternate wedding (which was awesome, btw), and this makes me sad. I'll hear them chatting with him until I tell them to go home and they make the trek alone back to Solitude.Ĭeven wrote: Is there any way you could do a hotfix to register Kaidan (after the wedding) as your spouse? Apparently it's a thing that happens when you go through a vanilla wedding, and it's required for a handful of spouse related mods. For some reason there's a glitch of sort in my game where my children, who I've packed in Proudspire Manor in Solitude, under the care of Jordis the Shield Maiden, show up from time to time at my main house (White River Cottage Redux in Riverwood), even though I never used the Bless Home spell there. So I keep him home in those ragged trousers (such a nice bulge!) and use my sex mods to recreate with him every time I'm not traveling.Īmusing fact. ![]() The problem with the horse remains though. However I was not traveling with him at the time so it might be that. When I went there there was nothing but a few empty huts. Then I was told we should investigate a mountain in the Reach. ![]() How is his quest line supposed to be progressing exactly? I found a dossier in the Thalmor embassy and he responded to that, and I gave him a book about dragon language but still the bullet point pertaining to that in the journal hasn't checked out yet.
